Dr Noor leads on the psycho-oncology pathway for Gastrointestinal cancer surgery at GSTT. She is a specialist in health psychology, with an interest in the psychological complexity of cancer and gastrointestinal surgery.
She completed her clinical psychology training and was awarded Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London. She has experience in working within varied health settings including spinal cord injury, neuro-rehabilitation and neurological conditions, chronic pain, and cancer.
Dr Noor’s approach to psychological therapy is informed by evidence based models of treatment which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and theories that emphasise cultural and social aspects that influence a person’s relationship to health.
An integrative and inclusive clinician, Dr Noor thrives on bringing together medical and allied health professionals in identifying and meeting the complex psychosocial needs of people in her care.
